Math:
We are working fractions this week.  We will be comparing and reducing fractions during this unit.  The better they know their multiplication and division facts the easier it will be.

Composition:
We are working on another combined paper about animal homes. The format will be the same as last week. I will keep the swiftlet paper and send home the graded checklist. If you need to review the topic sentence/clinch it is on page 79-80.
Monday- KWO, Brainstorming page, introduce vocab words
Tuesday- Oral retell, write RD, parents proofread and help with corrections, make sure everything from the checklist is included in the paper, review vocab words
Wednesday- Start writing FD
Thursday-Finish FD, parents look over for any mistakes and everything from the checklist is included labeled and underlined.
Turn in Monday
All FD are to be written in cursive.

Reading
We are continuing reading "A Cricket in Time Square".  The project for this book will be a diorama.
The project for this book is a diorama.  Your student will construct a diorama of one of the main events of this book. They will make a 3-dimensional scene, including models of characters, the setting, and objects. A shoebox makes a great place to build a diorama.  Then they will write a description of the scene.  Project is due March 1, 2021.

History:
We will be learning 12 key dates during the year.  We will be leaning 3 dates a quarter.  At the end of the quarter there will be a quiz.  The quiz will be accumulative as the year progresses.  The dates are listed in the campus binder under the science and history tab.

Quarter 3 dates
