Science		Read See the Sea, Rushing Rivers, A Source of Course, Swimming Salmon, Salt Solutions, Creation Confirmation, Lively Lakes and Peaceful Ponds, Current Events pg 21-26 narrate what you read.	Label the oceans and surface currents on the map in your journal. Activity 1.7 Density experiment pg 31.	Read Surfing the Surface and Deep Ocean Currents, Tides, Full and New Moon pg 26-30 narrate what you read.	Answer what do you remember questions in your journal.	Journal entries need to be competed in the green journal. They need to be at least 3 sentences and they may be written in print or cursive. I will collect the journals at the end of each chapter to grade the journal entries.

WORKBOOK AND TEXTBOOK EXERCISES:
Please grade all work by first indicating which answers are incorrect and then giving your student an opportunity to correct his/her mistakes before offering assistance. Initial the top when all problems have been completed correctly. 

Fact Practices: Fact practice (FP) will be completed daily.  The previous week's completed sheets will be collected every Monday for a homework grade.  You will need to set a timer for 5 min.  If not finished, draw a line where they have completed to and have them finish the math fact practice page for that day. 

IEW:
We will be learning what is a key word outline (KWO) and how to create one from a paragraph.

Spelling:

We will start step 1 this week on Thursday.  This week we are only writing sentences.  Please follow the instructions on pg 20 for dictating spelling sentence.  I will only say the sentences once in class and then the students will repeat the sentence and then write it on the paper.  

Reading:
We are continuing to read "The Hundred Dresses".  Reading journal questions are due Aug 26.

Science:
Please bring the science textbook and journal to school on Wednesday only.  

Geography:
Continents & Oceans song and map can be found here on the main blog curricula/geography page. Students will be responsible for pointing to the continents and oceans on a map.
