Grammar Christmas Party/Classical book exchange:
Dec 8th we will have a Christmas Party in the afternoon. A sign up genius will be sent out after Thanksgiving break. We also have a classical book exchange. Please bring a new or gently used wrapped classical book that can be for a boy or girl that is at appropriate grade reading level. They can also wear an ugly sweater/shirt for the day.
Math:
Be practicing addition, subtraction and multiplication facts. Please work on any areas that may be difficult. Between now and January we will be building on what we are learning.
Grammar:
Review the definitions of the parts of speech. Practice how to find different parts of speech in other text such as Mr. Poppers Penguins, the science reading or history reading.
Composition:
We will take a break from IEW at home. Please keep reviewing vocab.
Reading:
We are starting to read Peter the Great. We will complete a timeline for this book. Add two entries per day for the timeline. The timeline will ne due Dec 6th.
We will be learning 12 key dates during the year. We will be leaning 3 dates a quarter. At the end of the quarter there will be a quiz. The quiz will be accumulative as the year progresses. The dates are listed in the campus binder under the science and history tab.
