Math:
WORKBOOK AND TEXTBOOK EXERCISES:
Please grade all work by first indicating which answers are incorrect
and then giving your student an opportunity to correct his/her mistakes
before offering assistance. Initial the top when all problems have been
completed correctly. Practice and review exercises should always be
completed on notebook paper and turned in as homework on the following
school day. I will check workbooks for completion periodically.
Spelling:
- Review spelling and syllable division rules.
- Review phonograms.
This week, we'll review phonograms and syllable division rules from previous levels.
IEW:
We will be learning what is a key word outline (KWO) and how to create one from a paragraph.
Reading:
We will begin with reading "Mr. Poppers Penguins". Please bring this to class on Monday.
Science:
Please bring the green experiment notebook to school on Monday. This will be kept at school. The
answer to the science review quiz can be found in the digital teacher's book on
page 22.

Please spend 15 minutes per day working on the following memory work.
Poetry: Our first quarter poem is "Rise Up O Men of God". A
copy was placed in your student's binder on Monday. Practice this with a
family member, pet, or stuffed animal as an audience. If you really want a
challenge, try using yourself as an audience in a mirror!
