Math:
Please continue to review all math facts. Addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.  This can be accomplished with flash cards, math apps, or math games.

Composition:
We are on week two the conflict (plot).  This week we will continue Pecos Bill Rides a Tornado.  Monday we will complete just the conflict (plot) part of the KWO.  They will write the rough draft Tuesday.  On Wednesday, they will add part two, the conflict (plot), to the part one final draft.  They will start a new paragraph and indent then start adding part two , the second paragraph.

Continue to practice proper formation of cursive letters at home. Writing on notebook paper, rather than handwriting paper is new for some students this year. Please help your student with this transition. 

Science:
The answers to the quiz can be found in the teacher's guide pg 100.  Continue to practice the "States of Matter" poem.

Reading:
Between now and Christmas we will have a classical read of your choice,  This book will need to be a classical book and an appropriate reading level for your child.  Here is a link from the Fortis Website of classical books.  They will be turning in a reading narration options every Monday over what they read the previous week.
  
Memory:
Please spend time during your school day to work on our school wide scripture, quarter 2 poem, geography map & song, history timeline song, key dates, and States of Matter poem. Feel free to get creative and practice these in the car, at bedtime, or during meals.
