Valentine's Party
We will having a Valentines party on Feb 14th during the last 45min of class. Students may bring Valentines to pass out to each classmate. Below is a list of students in our class.

Students will also need a mailbox or bag for collecting Valentines from their friends. Be as simple or as creative as you wish!
Math:
MF (math fact) practice will be completed daily. The previous week's completed sheets will be collected every Monday for a homework grade. You will need to set a timer for 6 min. If not finished, draw a line where they have completed too and have them finish the MF practice page for that day.
We will be finishing our unit fractions this week.
Composition:
If your student is still needing help on the topic sentence and clencher, please review it on pg 79-80.
Monday- KWO, Brainstorming page, introduce vocab words
Tuesday- Oral retell, write RD, parents proofread and help with corrections, make sure everything from checklist is included in the paper, review vocab words
Wednesday- Start writing FD in cursive.
Thursday-Finish FD, parents look over for any mistakes and that everything from the checklist is underlined and labeled.
Turn in Monday
All FD are to be written in cursive. If your child is still struggling with cursive, you can use the link below to help your child with the FD. You can type their RD into the space and it will create their RD in cursive and they can copy in the line below the cursive. Select the option from the picture below. If you have any questions, please let me know.
Reading
We are continuing to read "A Cricket in Times Square". Answer the comprehension questions or write a short paragraph for the chapters in "A Cricket in Times Square"
History:
We will be learning 12 key dates during the year. We will be learning 3 dates per quarter. At the end of the quarter there will be a quiz. The quiz will be accumulative as the year progresses. The dates are listed in the campus binder under the science and history tab.
