Math:
WORKBOOK AND TEXTBOOK EXERCISES:
Please grade all work by first indicating which answers are incorrect and then giving your student an opportunity to correct his/her mistakes before offering assistance. Initial the top when all problems have been completed correctly. 

Fact Practices: Fact practice (FP) will be completed daily.  The previous week's completed sheets will be collected every Monday for a homework grade.  You will need to set a timer for 6 min.  If not finished, draw a line where they have completed too and have them finish the MF practice page for that day. 

IEW:
We will finished our first paper of the year on Wednesday.  Please reach out if you have any questions about the process.  We will start the next paper on Wednesday with the introduction of three new vocab words and banned adjectives.
 
Spelling:
We will be starting a spelling lesson this week on Thursday.  Below is the format for the rest of the year.
Thursday - Teach the new step with tiles and writing the 10 words on the step paper in the campus binder.
Friday - Parent review step and dictate the sentences 1-3 for your student to write on the step paper.
Monday - Review step, write sentences 4-6 on the step paper.
Tuesday - Review step, write sentences 7-9 and complete writing station on step paper.
Wednesday - Write sentence 10-12 on the step paper, take spelling test.

History:
Please bring the history journal to school on Monday only.  

Science:
Please bring the science textbook and journal to school on Wednesday only.  

Geography:
Continents & Oceans song and map can be found here on the main blog curricula/geography page. Students will be responsible for pointing to the continents and oceans on a map. 

Memory:
Please spend 15 minutes per day working on the following memory work.
Poetry:  Our first quarter poem is "Rise Up O Men of God".  A copy is in your student's binder under the memory section.  Practice this with a family member, pet, or stuffed animal as an audience.  If you really want a challenge, try using yourself as an audience in a mirror!
