CPT Testing:
We will be taking the CPT test over four days in third grade. While this is low stakes testing, it is important that your child come to school each day on time and prepared to do their best. Please make sure that your student is well rested and has eaten a good breakfast.

Math:
The rest of the year the chapters in math are short, most only lasting a week to two weeks. With us testing at school I may only have one or two class periods with them before the next test. It is important to make sure that your child has a good grasp of what is being taught in each unit.

Composition:
We are combining our three papers, Benjamin Franklin, Louis Braille, and Thomas Edison, into a three paragraph paper this week. We will start on Monday with a new topic sentence and start coping the Benjamin Franklin paper. Tuesday they need to skip a line indent and start coping Louis Braille. Wednesday we will skip a line and indent and add Thomas Edison. We will then add a final clincher.

Monday - Write new introductory sentence, copy Benjamin Franklin
Tuesday - Skip a line and indent, copy Louis Braille
Wednesday - Skip a line and indent, copy Thomas Edison, add a final clincher.
Thursday - Finish FD, parents look over FD to make sure everything is labeled and underlined. All dress-ups, decoration, sentence openers, and topic and clincher sentence highlighted in each paragraph.
All FD are to be written in cursive. If your child is still struggling with cursive. In the link below you can type their RD into the space and it will create their RD in cursive and they can copy in the line below. Select the option from the picture below. If you have any questions, please let me know.
