Valentine's Party:
We will having a Valentines party on Feb 11th during the last 30 min of class.  One of our room moms will send out a sign up genius for snacks.  Students may bring Valentines to pass out to each classmate.  Below is a list of students in our class.  Please have your child bring a bag or box to put their valentines in.

Math:
We are continuing to work on fractions this week.  Keep practicing the multiplication facts as it will make completing the math problems easier and quicker.

Cursive:
All final drafts will need to be in cursive now.
The history and science journal may still be in print during the 3rd quarter. The journals will need to be in cursive the 4th quarter, March 23rd.

Composition:
We are going to write form pictures over the next few lessons. This can be difficult for some students because there is not a passage to follow. We will have questions to answer to help fill in the information about the pictures.
Monday: Write RD of paragraph one
Tuesday: Write RD of paragraph two, parents proofread
Wednesday: Vocab practice, start writing FD in cursive
Thursday: Finish FD. Make sure that key words in the topic and clincher sentences are highlighted and all dress-up are labeled and underlined.
