Historical Dress-Up Day:
Costumes must be in the theme of our historic studies this year, which will cover The Holy Roman Empire (1550) through the World of the Forty-Nine(1850). Guidelines: No weapons, no gore, nothing scary, students need to be able to move and sit properly and use the restroom on their own. Have fun thinking of ideas.
Math:
Be practicing multiplication facts. Please work on any areas that may be difficult. Between now and January we will be building on what we are learning.
Grammar:
Review the definitions of the parts of speech. Practice how to find different parts of speech in other text such as Mr. Poppers Penguins, the science reading or history reading.
Composition:
We are continuing to learn how to write a story using a Story Sequence Chart Outline. This week we are starting The Little Dutch Boy. We will spend two weeks on this lesson. Below is the schedule for the next two weeks.

Reading:
We are continuing to read Mr. Popper's Penguins. Answer questions in black reading journal. The reading question will ne due Nov 15.
We will be learning 12 key dates during the year. We will be leaning 3 dates a quarter. At the end of the quarter there will be a quiz. The quiz will be accumulative as the year progresses. The dates are listed in the campus binder under the science and history tab.
